Covering every period of Gerardo Aragón's work, this monograph explores his sculpture, installation art, collage, watercolor, stained glass, and even bonsai, which the artist considered an art of equal rank. Gerardo Aragón belonged to the generation of Colombian artists that developed under the influence of pop art and the abstract expressionism of the 1960s. As such, he participated in the rebirth of sketching and engraving, kept one foot in the classroom, and experimented with several techniques in search of a personal language of expression. Gerardo Aragón perteneció a esa generación de artistas colombianos que se desarrolló bajo la influencia del arte pop y del expresionismo abstracto a mediados de los años 60. Como tal, participó en el renacimiento del dibujo y del grabado, mantuvo una constante actividad docente e incursionó en diferentes técnicas en busca de un lenguaje expresivo propio.
